Who is The Short Burst Learning Company?
The Short Burst Learning Company was developed by Bill Torregrossa as a result of a learning need in his own family.
Hi, I'm Bill Torregrossa and I had a family "situation" when my wife and daughter were in college at the same time. The two of them, admittedly, are slow readers and I never heard the end to the complaining about how much reading they had to do.
We checked out some of the existing speed reading programs and, amazingly, most of the material for faster reading was, you guessed it, in book form which meant you had to READ IT !! Of course, the last thing either of them wanted to do was read another book! Additionally, other speed reading courses cost hundreds of dollars and consisted of volumes of material - again, they didn't have the time or the patience to go through all that material. That is when the light bulb went off.
My daughter grew up with Sesame Street and MTV and is used to highly entertaining and interactive formats for learning. In addition, she is a visual learner and has a very difficult time listening to lectures or cassette tapes. As a result, the first Short Burst Learning product,"Rev-It Up Reading"was born.
